Lesson planning for Grade 4 English First Additional Language Term 4 (2025)Â
Week 1 – 6 lessons; Week 7 Revision exercises from textbook. I’ve added week 8 – 9 to enable teacher to add general activities/meetings etc. for end of year purposes.
Used some worksheets from the DBE book and integrated where needed.
Week 1 – 2: Theme 15 – Being brave (Write a story);
Week 3 – 4: Theme 17 – A busy community + Drama’s from DBE book (Dialogue);
Week 5 – 6: Theme 18 – Protecting our planet (Summary of a newspaper report);
Week 7 – 8: (Revision)
Week 9 – 10: Revision and exams
Aligned with ATP 2023 and English Platinum Book. Can be adapted to use with any textbook.
Includes suggestions for spelling, sight words, outcomes per day per lesson, introduction for lesson, and ideas for homework.
