The project includes all aspects as required by the (ATP) 2023-2024 and the Western Cape manual (2023).
Suitable for Home Language or First Additional Language Grade 4-6 and even Grade 7-9 HL/FAL learners (adjust marks for research).
The project provides extensive guidance for the entire writing and research process.
Introductory activity: Information about research and how to conduct research as an introduction, as required in the ATP for the first day or two.

Research (10 points):
- Page with a hypothesis and its answer included as an introduction to the project.
- Pre-read, during reading and post reading: Comprehension-type questions about the fable as an extra to explore the story and interact with it (extra – does not need to be part of the research).
- Information about Aesop/characteristics of fairytales with comprehension questions to guide research – suitable for all learners.
- Craft Activity: Planning – design your own travel bag/taxi to fit the theme of the fable in card form (included).
Add the research about the author inside the card.
Writing (30 points):
Write a dialogue and convert it to a comic strip as a retelling of the fable. (templates included).
All features, elements, research about the author, and frameworks are included for writing genres to ease the workload for teachers.
Oral Presentation (20 points):
Describe the project (guidelines and framework for the speech).
Approximately 39 pages.
Workbook of about 39 pages per learner to complete the entire process (print double-sided).
Includes rubrics and memorandums for all parts of the project.
Available in PDF and Word, but the Word document may sometimes shift tables, etc., so use the corresponding PDF section and print it for learners.
