Research (10 marks) –
A nice ice breaker crossword puzzle and comprehension test / guiding questions about the novel (pre-read).
Pictures to predict and write about. (can be left out)
Guiding questions about the author.
Writing task (30 marks) –
Includes a sheet for planning and designing a poster depicting the life of Roald Dahl.
Design a postage stamp to honour Roald Dahl.
Write a letter from Matilda to Ms Honey to thank her for her help / or to tell her about your powers.
Includes a writing frame to guide learners to write the letter with the correct structure (format).
Example text of a letter to introduce features, etc.
Presentation (20 marks) –
Discuss and present a poster and postage stamp design, as well as a friendly letter (guidelines/writing frame included).
Rubrics of all aspects included, and a memorandum.
A link to the product and an email will be sent after payment is processed online.
A PDF and Word version will be sent to be adjusted with the school name/emblem, etc.
