READ is a FEAST: Reading motivation shelf

Learners read a story / book and write the title on the side of the book and colours it.

Teachers can decide if you want to link the page to a prize at the end of the month / term for the amount of books or stories read.

🐸🐸A FEW HINTS: 🐸🐸

📖Ensure that you do a reading comprehension with the book / story to ensure that learners have read the whole book or story.

📖The reading comprehension can also be done orally in the moring / during the period. The teacher can read through the blurp and maybe a page or two from the book and ask a few questions that the learner then answers orally.

📖Discuss the importance of reading daily – do this at the beginning of the year. (This promotes vocabulary enrichment and acquisition)

📖Paste the pages in the Literature workbook.
